Personal Profile
After gaining a BA Hons in Textile Design from Nottingham Trent University, I designed and produced commission embroidery for 5 years undertaking work for a number of well known clients which included: Anouska Hempel, Antoni and Alison, Allison Blake, Suzanne Neville, Hanna Goldman to name just a few. My work was featured in many glossy magazines and even made an appearance on BBC's EastEnders programme in the form of Natalie's wedding dress!.
Following a short break to start a family I took on a lecturing role in fashion and textiles at Cambridge Regional College.
Having always been inspired by home interiors I finally managed to tear myself away from teaching after 7 years (so much for this being a temporary stop gap! ) and commenced training in interior design, both by distant learning on the KLC Interior Design Course, London and with hands on experience with local practices.
Also, having been involved with major house renovation projects alongside my professional builder husband and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, I came to the conclusion that my two great passions were Design and Houses which I could combine in pursuing a career in Interior Design. Added to that I cheekily love looking around other peoples houses as they say so much about that person!.
